Gas Pressure Regulators - Field Issues?

Typical field problems

Regulator venting/Relief valve opening. This is usually caused by dirt on the orifice or seat preventing the Regulator from closing properly. The cure is to open up the Regulator and clean the orifice and seat. This invariably cures the problem.

Regulator does not produce enough flow/pressure. This is usually caused by incorrect sizing or poor field piping. The cure is to change the orifice or spring and/or modify the field piping.
